Australian Grocery Prices

Australian Grocery Prices collects product prices and specials from Woolworths and ALDI Australia. Both retailers use the same output format, so your app can read their data without separate parsers.

An Apify account is required. Run the Actor in Apify Console or call it through the Apify API. Scheduling, results, and billing are handled by Apify.

What you can build

• Compare grocery prices by unit, such as per litre or per kilogram.
• Track prices and specials for a brand or category.
• Collect a price history through scheduled runs.
• Use the results in deal sites, reports, or your own apps.

Search, categories, or product URLs

Supply search terms, category URLs, or individual product URLs. At least one of these inputs is required. You can combine them in one run or request only products on special.

This input searches both retailers for milk and coffee beans, with up to 50 products per search at each retailer:

One output format

Results include the retailer, product ID, name, brand, size, price, unit price, special details, product URL, and collection time. Woolworths products also include barcodes when available.

This is an example, not a current price quote. Each run reads the retailers’ websites again.

Monitor changes

Enable monitor mode and schedule the Actor in Apify. The first run reports the products as new. Later runs return new products, price changes, special changes, and removed products.

Keep the same input and monitor key for repeat runs. State is stored in your Apify account. A product is reported as removed only when its search or category was read completely.

Pricing and access

The Actor uses pay-per-event pricing on Apify, with platform usage included. Products with a price are billed. Monitor mode also charges for checked products that did not change. Products without a price and failed or blocked requests are free.

Limits to know

• Prices are national online prices shown without a selected store. They can differ from local store prices and change during the day.
• ALDI does not publish grocery stock levels or barcodes. Its availability field is unknown.
• Coles is planned and is not currently supported.
• Search results follow each retailer’s ranking. Woolworths sponsored results are excluded by default.
